STATEMENT

ワタシの見た目は、特徴があって個性的って言われる。
それって褒め言葉？だよね？（なのか？）
噂によると、ヴァーチャルなのに意思があってたぶん血も通っているんだって。

良い見た目だけに憧れる時代はもう終わっていて、
SNSでプリテンドするのにもみんな疲れちゃっていない？
もっと、内側にうごめくものも含めて
ワタシたちの”切り取られたビジュアル”は出来上がってるはず。

いまの社会は”多様性〜”とか言うわりに、
キレイな側面しか見ていない認めていない気がする。
太った人はOK、カッコイイ外国人はOK、LGBTQも友達ならOK…
でも、顔に痣がある人は？過酷な環境で働く外国人は？
家族や好きな人が普通じゃないセクシャリティだったら？（普通ってなに？）

キレイとされるものにだけ憧れて、
キレイとされないものを無意識に目を閉じてしまう。
そんなムードのなかでワタシたちは生きていたけど、もう終わり。
だから、少なくともワタシは”リアル”に生きていくつもり。

They say that I look unique and have characteristic features.
Is that a compliment? Is it? (I think?)
Rumor says even though I’m virtual, I have a mind and probably am alive.

The times of pursuing conventional and generic beauty are over; don’t you get tired of the fakeness in social media?
It is our belief that these visual representations in media should be formed from our deep-seated inner complexities.

Even when today’s society recognizes ‘diversity’, it is only a shallow representation of beauty.
It is ok if you are obese, it is ok if you are a cool foreigner, it is ok if you have a friend who is LGBTQ but what if you have a face birthmark? What about foreigners working in harsh environments? What if your family or loved ones identify as an uncommon or misrepresented sexuality? (What is considered normal?)

We often subconsciously close our eyes to things that are not beautiful and are attracted to conventional beauty. We have lived in that ‘mood’, but that is over now.
That is why I will continue to live a “real” life.
